La Riviera Restaurant is an upscale, white tablecloth restaurant serving continental cuisine filled with traditional and new dishes from France, Italy, and Latin America. One of the main reasons for our success has been the guidance of our owner, Chef Alfonso Gonzalez. Inspired by his passion for cooking and dreams of running his own restaurant, Chef Gonzalez opened the doors of our establishment to a hungry community ready to witness his culinary skills and creativity. He spends most of his days in his favorite place, the kitchen, creating memorable dishes and desserts from around the world that will allow your taste buds to soar.
Named the Chef of the Year by Brazos Valley Chef Association in 2002, 2007, and 2008, Chef Gonzalez is a certified executive chef by the American Culinary Federation. He is also a member of the Texas Chef Association.
Chef Gonzalez leads a dedicated team of chefs who have many years of experience in creating culinary delights inspired by cuisines from around the world. They are all dedicated to creating and executing dishes featuring rich and complex flavor profiles.
Since we have an in-house bakery with a dedicated pastry chef, we do dessert right around these parts. Adela has been with us since the start and is responsible for making all of those irresistible sweet treats that end a meal right.
